Morphology of networks, built-up areas and parcels of land
This research focuses on urban regions, but also on larger national and even international areas. The work is centred on the modes and processes of change in the shape of networks, built areas and plots of land: links between transport networks and city systems, the impact of accelerating travel speeds, the effect of population dynamics. Research here is based in particular on fractal geometry and graph theory.
