Samuel Carpentier-Postel est professeur de géographie à l’université de Franche-Comté. Ses recherches portent principalement sur la co-construction des territoires, des identités spatiales et des modes d’habiter à travers l’analyse des interactions entre pratiques et représentations des mobilités quotidiennes et résidentielles en milieu urbain. Ses enseignements se concentrent sur (i) la géographie urbaine, (ii) l’information géographique – cartographie, analyse spatiale, modélisation – (iii) les techniques d’enquête et les statistiques.

Samuel Carpentier-Postel is professor of geography at the University of Franche-Comté. His research focuses mainly on the links between territories, spatial identities and ways of living through the analysis of interactions between practices and representations of daily and residential mobility in urban areas. His teaching focuses on (i) urban geography, (ii) geographical information - mapping, spatial analysis, modelling - (iii) survey techniques and statistics.
