Fractal analysis

Fractalyse: areal and linear fractal measurement software.

Initiated in 2001 under a PUCA contract (Ministry of Equipment and Transport), Fractalyse is registered with the Program Protection Agency. Matlab. Systems: Windows and Linux. Available free-of-charge for non commercial use from Contact: G. Vuidel, P. Frankhauser, C. Tannier

GenFrac: tool for iterative fractal generation from IFS (Iterated Function System) affines.

Available free-of-charge for non commercial use from Systems: any system supporting Java. Contact: G. Vuidel

MorphoLim: tool for determining the morphological limit of an agglomeration by fractal logic.

Tool for creating fractal residential development scenarios. Systems: any system supporting Java. License: GPL. Contact: C. Tannier , G. Vuidel

R package gwfa : Geographically Weighted Fractal Analysis (GWFA).

This package enables the calculation of the local fractal dimension of a set of points. The method mixes the Sandbox multifractal algorithm and the Geographically Weighted Regression. It can be used to discriminate built patterns within a city, a region, or a whole country. Contact : F. Sémécurbe

R package wmlf: multifractal analysis of images using wavelet leaders.

Developed by François Sémécurbe and Stéphane Roux on the basis of the method proposed by Herwig Wendt, Stéphane Roux, Stéphane Jaffard, and Patrice Abry, 2009, Wavelet leaders and bootstrap for multifractal analysis of images. Signal Processing 6 (89), pp. 1100-1114. Contact: F. Sémécurbe, C. Tannier

Spatial analysis

Geographer: spatio-temporal data exploratory analysis software

Financed as part of ANR eGeopolis and ANR MIRO. Version 1.0 LISP/Version 2.0 Language: Java. Systems: any system supporting Java. Under development. Contact: G. Vuidel

Graphabanalysis of wildlife habitat connectivity and ecological network modelling

Financed by a contract with MEEDDAT, development began in 2010. Systems: any system supporting Java. License: GPL. Contact: JC. Foltête, G. Vuidel

LISDQS: Logiciel d'Interpolation Statistique de Données Quantitatives et Spatiales (Statistical interpolation software for quantitative and spatial data).

Developed since 2007 with support from Franche-Comté University's research and innovation service (pôle valorisation). Java and C++. Systems: Windows and Linux. Contact: D. Joly, G. Vuidel

PixScape: analysis of landscape visibility

Developed since 2014 for modeling landscape visibility from 2.5D data. Language: Java. Systems: any system supporting Java. License GPL. Contact: G. Vuidel

Spatial simulation

Mobisimsimulation platform for the prospective study of the impact of daily and residential mobility on the urban development, sprawl and planning of French and European agglomerations

Developed since 2007 under two PREDIT contracts. Systems: any system supporting Java. Contact: JP. Antoni, C. Tannier, G. Vuidel

Mup-City (Multi-scale urban planning for a sustainable city)

Developed since 2008 under two PREDIT contracts, MUP-City can be used to create fractal and non fractal residential development scenarios integrating constraints of accessibility to shops, services, open spaces and proximity constraints with the existing road networks. Systems: any system supporting Java. License: GPL. Contact: C. Tannier, G. Vuidel

S-Ghost: simulation of the morphogenesis of cities by cellular automata integrating econometric modelling of individual behaviour.

Developed since 2007 under ANR ECDESUP project. System: any system supporting Java. License: GPL. Contact: G. Vuidel

CWS (Cellular World Simulation): simulation software for urban development integrating three models: cellular automata, potential model and Markov chain.

C++. Systems: Windows. Contact: JP. Antoni, G. Vuidel
