Samuel Carpentier-Postel is professor of geography at the University of Franche-Comté. His research focuses mainly on the links between territories, spatial identities and ways of living through the analysis of interactions between practices and representations of daily and residential mobility in urban areas. His teaching focuses on (i) urban geography, (ii) geographical information - mapping, spatial analysis, modelling - (iii) survey techniques and statistics.
