The eigth symposium deals specifically
with remote sensing applications in polar environments. It will
provide an international forum for the discussion of work currently being
carried out in the circumpolar regions.

The Symposium will be held
at the Centre
Jean Franco, 373 rue du Lyret, 74 400 Chamonix-
F. This city is one of the most famous place
in the Alps, at the bottom of the Mont-Blanc and close to Switzerland and

the so called interdisciplinary group "Réseau Arctique", both belonging
